【フィレンツェ】Ristorante Toto' でディナー Firenze - Dinner at Ristorante Toto'

 

フィレンツェでの3日目のディナーは、ホテルのすぐ近くにあった、Ristorante Toto'というリストランテへ。

中に入ると、昔ながらのリストランテといった趣き。1968年の創業で、観光客も地元の人々も訪れているような感じのリストランテだった。

For dinner on the third day in Florence, I went to a restaurant called Ristorante Toto', which was right next to the hotel.

Once inside, it feels like an old-fashioned. Founded in 1968, it was a restaurant that seemed to be visited by both tourists and locals.

お店の中には、Tボーンステーキ用の肉が置かれていて、食欲がそそられたが、前の日に食べていたので、この日は我慢した。

There was meat for T-bone steak on the table, which made me appetite, but I ate it the day before, so I put up with it that day.

テーブルには、おすすめのキャンティワインが置かれていた。

丸いボトルが、藁で巻かれているのは、昔のキャンティのスタイル。

キャンティ・フィアスコと呼ばれるが、フィアスコとは"失敗した"という意味で、失敗したボトルにワインを詰めて、その強度を補強するために藁を巻いた、と言われている。

とてもおいしい、飲みやすいワインだった。

The recommended Chianti wine was placed on the table.

The round bottle is wrapped in straw in the old Chianti style.

Called Chianti Fiasco, Fiasco means "failed" and is said to have filled a failed bottle with wine and wrapped straw to reinforce its strength.

It was a very delicious and easy-to-drink wine.

食事は、軽い前菜とシンプルなパスタで済ませた。

The meal was a light appetizer and simple pasta.

どちらも素朴な料理だったが、その味は申し分なく、ささやかなメニューながら、トスカーナ地方の雰囲気を十分に堪能できたディナーだった。

Both were simple dishes, but the taste was perfect, and while the menu was modest, it was a dinner where I could fully enjoy the atmosphere of the Tuscan region.
