【ローマ】テルミニ駅へ到着 Roma - Arrived at Stazione Termini

 

フィレンツェからローマへ、フレッチャロッサ（FR）でおよそ1時間30分。あっという間に着いてしまう。

イタリアと言えば、列車の時間もルーズで、遅れるのが当たり前かなと思っていた。

今回の旅では、ミラノからフィレンツェ、フィレンツェからローマ、ローマからナポリ、ナポリからガゼルタなどに鉄道を利用したが、ほとんど遅延なく、時間通りに列車は出発し、目的地に到着した。

唯一、このフィレンツェからローマへのFRが、20分ほど遅れてフィレンツェに到着した。

しかし、この間も、駅の電光掲示板には最新情報が表示されて、ネットで予約していたので、何度かアップデート情報がメールで送られてきたりして、とてもサービスが行き届いていた。

Speaking of Italy, the train time was loose and I thought it was natural to be late.

The only FR from Florence to Rome arrived in Florence about 20 minutes late.

However, during this time, the latest information was displayed on the electric bulletin board at the station, and I made a reservation online, so the update information was sent by e-mail several times, and the service was very good.

ローマの町が近づくにつれて、線路沿いに、古い遺跡が見えるようになっていった。

これは、テルミニ駅のすぐ近く、線路沿いにあるミネルヴァ・メディカ神殿と呼ばれる建物。4世紀頃に建てられた、ニンフを祀る神殿だという。

This is a building called the Minerva Medica Temple along the railroad tracks, right next to Termini Station. It is said to be a temple dedicated to nymphs, built around the 4th century.

ローマの玄関口とも言えるテルミニ駅は巨大で、大きなバッグを引きずる観光客や、体にピッタリとしたお洒落なスーツを身にまとったビジネスマンなどで、大いに賑わっていた。

この現在のテルミニ駅は、ムッソリーニの命令で1938年から建設が始まり、その13年後に完成した。

モダンな設計の近代的な駅舎で、フィレンツェのサンタ・マリア・ノヴェッラ駅とよく似ている。

Termini Station, which can be said to be the gateway to Rome, was huge and crowded with tourists dragging big bags and businessmen wearing fashionable suits that fit their bodies.

Construction of this current Termini station began in 1938 at the behest of Mussolini and was completed 13 years later.

テルミニという名前は、この駅のすぐ近くの古代ローマの巨大な浴場、イタリア語でテルメがあるからだという。

さて、このテルミニ駅から、古代ローマ、ルネサンスのローマ、そしてバロックのローマへ、向かうことにしよう。
