【ローマ】ヴァチカン 現代宗教美術館 アンリ・マチス Roma - Musei Vaticani, Collection of Contemporary Art, Henri Matisse

ヴァチカン美術館内にある現代宗教美術館の中で、マリノ・マリーニと並んで大きなスペースで展示されていたのが、アンリ・マチスだった。

マチスは、晩年に南フランスのヴァンスにあるロザリオ礼拝堂の内装をデザインしている。

そのデザインの下絵のような作品も展示されていた。

Henri Matisse was exhibited in a large space alongside Marino Marini in the Museum of Contemporary Religion in the Vatican Museums.

Matisse designed the interior of the Rosary Chapel in Vence, southern France, in his later years.

Works like sketches of the design were also exhibited.
