このコロンナ宮殿は、多くの名画を展示するギャラリーでもあるが、その壮麗な内装でも知られており、映画『ローマの休日』のラストシーンの撮影が行われた場所として有名だ。

オードリー・ヘップバーンが演じるアン女王は、奥のコロンナ・ベッリカの間に現れて、グレゴリー・ペックが演じる新聞記者たちは、手間の大広間から様々な質問を投げかける。

映画はモノクロ映画だったが、モノクロながら、この宮殿の美しさは際立っていて、初めてその映画を見た時から、その印象は強烈に記憶の中に刻まれた。
